• Grey Murrough Sedge

Murrough, meaning 'Big Red Fellow' is a reference to the Great Red Sedge, which is seen on the Irish Loughs from June onwards. They can be up to 2.5'' long and occur mostly in the late evening and continue to hatch on into the darkness. Their body colours vary from light Grey through Claret to Green.
