The Chalkie series of flies were created by Charles Jardine specifically for Trout fishing on the clear, rich waters of the Chalkstreams of Southern England. To this end they have been very effective but are not limited to just those applications. Andrew Ryan has reported great success with these patterns on The River Suir amongst other waters where he has tried them. They are a classical type of fly, with their shaped split-wings, tails and jointed body colours. We have provided two colour choices in a wide range of hook sizes which will accommodate anglers in most hatch situations.
