• Hatching Mayfly

The Hatching Mayfly is a pattern inspired by the Bumble series of flies by Kingsmill Moore. This pattern uses an entire dyed French Partridge feather as a head hackle. Even the small 'Marabou' like plumes at the base of the feather are tied in, these add movement, especially when the pattern is being 'dabbled' at the surface of a wave when Trout follow the fly to the boat.
