A really old and simple pattern which is invaluable during the first stages of the hatch. Fished small and singly, it is reminiscent of the fawning patterns but in a simpler form. The pattern name is interesting in so far as it is a single feather which is used to construct the wings and the tail, and a single hackle which is used to palmer the front portion of the fly.
